The Spring String Thing Workshop will be held on the
12th of May at the Colbert Presbyterian Church, 4211 E
Colbert Road, Colbert, WA. This event will include beginning
and intermediate sessions in guitar, dobro, mandolin, fiddle,
banjo, bass and vocals. There also will be a Band Mic Set-
Up, instrument tunings along with “Learning to play by ear”
and songwriting. For those who would like to try out an
instrument that they haven’t played before, an instrument
“petting zoo” will be available. Of course no workshop
would be complete without jamming and plenty of it. New
this year will be a “beginning slow pitch jam” along with a
regular slow jam.
The cost is $10.00 for members ($5.00 for 12 years old and
younger) and $15.00 for non-members. There will be a
potluck lunch at noon. Participants are asked to bring a
potluck dish to share. Mark your calendars for May 12.
Registration forms will be at the next INBA Showcase, on the
INBA website and in this edition of the Blabber. Don’t miss
this fun event!
